I'm going to make a summary here about which ones are the best voices I know about and a little why. Not all of them are my fav artist or even I don't like the music made by all of them, at the end I'm talking about voices, not music as a whole thing, but I definitely DEFINITELY totally and madly love their music stuff in some cases.
What do you think about those voices? Do you think I missed someone?
Finally, just as an add, my Tier list about singers (I honestly wouldn't have even remembered many of them if not added by someone else 👀)
So, here it is, come with me:
To me, the most MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE TIMBRE in the world, specifically talking in terms of timbre, is Vibeke Stene, ahah don't know why, just because the way it sounds, just because to my ears it is...
Another BEAUTIFUL AND VERY PARTICULAR VOICE TIMBRES: Mikael Åkerfeldt, Daniel Johns (points extra to these two ⬅️ because of the wide range of so many different vocal techniques they manage), Sivert Høyem, Rob Thomas, Ed Kowalczyk, Jewel and Anneke van Giersbergen. An honour mention besides my top ones goes to Chester Bennington, who had a beautiful and worked clean and raspy voice as well, even when I don't particularly like his music, never did.
The most representative example of a PERFECT VOCAL TECHNIQUE BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED, I mean, in vocal technique terms are to me Lori Lewis, Steve Balsamo, Phil Anselmo and Mike Patton.
The most INCREDIBLY AMOUNT OF SO MANY DIFFERENT VOCAL TECHNIQUES AND SKILLS perfectly executed; Jewel, Phil Anselmo, Mike Patton and Floor Jansen. Honor mention to Daniel Johns for his soooooo many different vocal techniques, even if he doesn't has real mastery in all of them, he can manage so many more than many singers and he reached mastery in many of them, like his head voice, raspy voice, falsettos and perfection in his melismas and vocal runs, he has a vocal agility almost out of this world.
The most beautiful in terms of their INCREDIBLE RASPY VOICE: Chris Cornell and Phil Anselmo. Honour mention besides them to Rob Thomas and Chester again.
The most incredible AWESOME AND WIDE VOCAL RANGES: Mike Patton no doubts absolutely, Chris Cornell, Daniel Johns, Lori Lewis, Jewel, Steve Balsamo and Floor Jansen. All of them perfectly managing up to 4 octaves!!!! They can do really "out of this world" things with their gifted voices!!!
So they ⬆️ all of them are the most talented voices in rock and metal music to me, but besides, there are some good voices I totally enjoy as I enjoy their music. Here I have to mention Draco Rosa and Regina Spektor, they are part of my favs as well.
So, now in a total subjective way, my MY PARTICULAR/PERSONAL FAV VOICES ON EARTH, just because, are: Phil Anselmo, Chris Cornell, Daniel Johns, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Lori Lewis, Vibeke Stene, Jewel, Floor Jansen.
And all these singers and beautiful voices, in summary, have a special place in my heart:
